Official Registry

Being a Vǫlva (or Völva) is hereditary. That is, one is a Vǫlva by blood, and while skills can be developed and mastered over time, they cannot be acquired by those women who are not from specific Norse blood lines.

As the official native religion of the North and of Norsemen, Forn Siðr maintains a registry of all Vǫlur. If you need to check the validity of a Vǫlva credential, please contact us with all the specifics.
